Seminar with KU Leuven

As part of the ARCHIE chair about Machine learning applied to medicine, the Endomic team have met KU Leuven scientists Pr. Maarten De Vos and Pr. Celine Vens and their team every 6 months since February 2024 to share ideas and discuss about current work or possibility of collaborations. This time, the meeting took place in Lille on October 8th and we had the chance to attend to great presentations. Here are the different lectures given:

• Pr. Zaineb Garcia: Advances in Knowledge Representation, Reasoning, and Discovery with Complex Data.
• Pedro: Challenging the Binary Classification Paradigm in Longitudinal Health Data Settings
• Hibba: Interpretable Multiple Sclerosis Differential Diagnosis using Graph-based Deep Multiple Instance Learning
• Robbe: Multi-Event Survival Analysis-Informed Clustering on the PRECISE cohort
• Stelios: Automated analysis of urine samples
• Kilian: Presentation of an article on the application of Triclustering to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis data
• Clement: Systematic literature review of variable extraction from electronic health records using instruction-tuned large language models

This was a very enriching event and we look forward to meet them again in 6 months.
